Why Menorca is one (since 1993)

Albufera des Grau: heart of the wetland
The Parc Natural de s’Albufera des Grau includes a lagoon, dunes, wild olive forests, coastline, and islets. It is the largest wetland area in Menorca and the core zone of the Reserve. How to visit responsibly (10 keys)
- Stay on authorized trails (Cala Llimpa, Santa Madrona and Sa Gola).
- Observe wildlife silently and from a distance; do not approach nests or hiding places.
- Zero waste: everything that comes in, goes out with you; avoid single-use plastics.
- Respect posidonia and dunes: do not step on or uproot vegetation; do not move driftwood.
- Water and sun: bring a water bottle and protection; avoid peak sun hours in summer.
- No collecting of species (plants, shells, fossils).
- Dogs always on a leash and away from sensitive bird areas.
- No drones in sensitive areas or without specific permits.
- Local economy: prioritize crafts, km0 products, and responsible services.
- Responsible transport: share a car, use bus or bike when possible.
